There is Power in your Awareness

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves." - Viktor Frankl

People often overlook the simplest things in life.  Instead they seek the complicated and spend their time searching and accumulating more knowledge.  They neglect to recognize that although they may understand something intellectually, the benefits will only come when you put it into your experience.  It’s when the intellectual transmutes into the ‘ahhh’ moment.  It is a piece of the puzzle falling into place.

If you are seeking to change your life, the starting point is becoming aware of where you are placing your attention.  Consciousness always follows thought and your thoughts are made up of the beliefs that you have accepted as true.  It is through these beliefs that you perceive your own personal world.

The Law of Free Will

It is easier to create the effect because the effect depends totally upon you; the cause may not be so dependent on you.—OSHO

Simply put, you have the freedom to do, be or have anything you want. It is your right here on Planet Earth.  There is however one caveat to this law which most people prefer to leave out.  The Law of Free Will works in conjunction with the Law of Cause and Effect which states:  For every action there is a corresponding reaction.  On the spiritual level this law is reversed...with free will the effect becomes the cause.

You do, say or feel something and energy goes out and combines with other energies.  They intermingle and the Law of Serendipity takes over bringing you encounters or circumstances which match your state of being.  Change your state of being and you end up down an entirely different path.  Align your Free Will with Divine Love and you create a powerhouse.  Align your Free Will with your own stubbornness of having it your way and the results can sometimes be either mediocre or dismal.

The Purpose of the Ego

There are some who say the ego must be cut or annihilated. Remove the ‘I’ from your life and focus on living a life of service.  Life, we are told is about giving to others and there can be no room in this world for the concept of putting oneself first.
Perhaps there is some truth to the concept that we are put here to make this world a better place.  The problem is this belief gets twisted and neglects to recognise the starting point is with the self.  It is this myth about service to others that has lead us astray, and has been used to perpetuate beliefs that ‘if I think’ about others before myself I will be on the right path of goodness.  The setback with this belief is the service is usually mixed with guilt and fear, and an ego running on these emotions operates on memories.
In order to understand the role of the ego in your life, you must first understand its purpose. The ego is the human consciousness part of you.  It was designed to ensure your security and survival.  Unfortunately for many of us it has never relinquished its initial purpose.  Instead, for many the ego became the master script writer and because of it, everything becomes a drama based on past happenings.

Forgiveness and Your Imagination

Everyone and every experience comes into your life comes through your invitation.  You are not at the mercy of outside forces and circumstances.  We live in a universe of vibration and through your thoughts and emotions you draw to yourself events, people and circumstances.  It is all an inside job which is why forgiveness is not about the other person; it is about you.
Most people do not want to accept that they create their own reality.  Instead they would prefer to believe that lousy experiences and people are random happenings. It has nothing to do with your thinking.  Yet somewhere at some time, you offered the thought and as the old saying says, “careful what you ask for because it has a way of coming back to you.”

A Simple Shift Brings a New State of Being

We all do it.  We allow the circumstances of life to influence our state of being.  Something happens at work or in our home life, and our mind launches into a diatribe of monstrous proportions.  It doesn’t matter if it was yesterday or last week or ten years ago.  That one little bugaboo becomes our focus and colours everything in our life. We never realize that our ranting keeps us locked into a state of being that is not and will never serve us.
All states of being exist.  There are states of being such as:  health, sickness, anger, happiness, wealth, poverty, etc.  They are like radio stations in the ethers and just as you can change stations on your stereo, you can move out of one state of being and into another.  Through our thinking and emotions, we attune to a particular frequency, and it becomes the dominant vibration in our life.  It is the vibration which attracts circumstances, situations and people into our life.

Beware of the Opinionated Mind

They are out there.  Those individuals who will zealously defend a particular belief even though the information presented before them proves it is wrong.  Trapped in a fixed mode of thinking, these individuals will exasperate and frustrate you.  No matter how you present the information they will refuse to believe you.

Usually after engaging in a conversation with these types of individuals, you will find yourself feeling as though someone just sucked the life force out of you.  Your energy will be depleted and often you will be emotionally charged with anger or resentment.  You may even begin to doubt your own beliefs.

The Law of Purpose

For some unknown reason, we seem to have adopted the wrong interpretation of the Law of Purpose.  Somewhere down through the centuries, we came to believe that our purpose in life was to come here and make this world a better place.  Tied to this central theme was the idea that your role in making this world a better place was to get an education, get a job, and contribute to society.

Success in this definition was defined by that which was on the outside.  We were fulfilling our purpose in life if we had the physical trappings dictated by society.  Now there is nothing wrong with having things but when our focus is purely on the outer manifestation it takes us in the opposite direction from the original meaning of the Law of Purpose.  It is a direction that takes us away from our innate inner guidance.
